Yes - the brain seems to be very good at forgetting the 'orribleness, is the trouble. My mum suggested thinking quite hard about it & writing it down - which actually helped, because it reminded me exactly *why* I packed, & it was because I genuinely couldn't make myself carry on going any more. I can't remember the last time I was that exhausted.
It also helped to think for a bit about what I'm actually trying to get out of this - viz, largely, fun! Sleep dep != fun. (Obv not all of any ride is going to be fun, but there's things that I can deal with & things I can't, & the reaction to lack-of-sleep comes under the latter).
Yes. 3.25 points in fact. Very very hilly indeed. Past Caer Idris, & over Snowdon, are the two that stand out in the memory; I packed just before the 7mi climb into Knighton...
