d's gran lives in Larne & his parents live a few miles up the road, so it would be very convenient! Didn't see much of Larne itself this weekend, but I'd say the coast around there is lovely - it'd be a nice ride from the port to d's folks.

IME most ferryports are reasonably hideous.
