Music!
Have been downloading lots of music from assorted female rock/punk types, & some Riot Grrl stuff (specifically: Joan Jett, the Raincoats, L7, Patti Smith, & X-Ray Spex, which admittedly I already had a bit of). It is all rather fine. I fear this has been a Hideous Gap in my musical knowledge (bad feminist! no biscuit!) which I should update forthwith.
Which has led me to think: having just requested book recommendations, I should now request music recommendations. So - recommend me music! One track (or artist, but if possible give a particularly good track) you think I should know but might not.
(particularly pleased to have found both this track & 'Cruel To Be Kind', also by the Raincoats, which are both on the 10 Things I Hate About You soundtrack & I like v much)

Ooh, good film...
Oh, do you actually have the 10 Things I Hate About You soundtrack btw? If not I could make you a copy?
Re: Ooh, good film...
It is a top film. The first time I saw it was in LA, when I was travelling round the southwest US on my own. I liked it sufficiently that I wound up going back in to see it again (plus I didn't much like LA & was quite happy to spend an entire afternoon inside a nice comfortable cinema) :-)
Burning as I type :-)
And can I add your travels to the list of things I want to talk to you for hours about...
Note for concerned readers
Re: Burning as I type :-)
I am always happy to talk about the travelling, sometimes too much so :-) As well as the US trip (featuring, among other things, the 'nearly getting killed driving across a mountain in the snow' story & the 'inadvertently smuggling drugs into the US' story), I spent 6 weeks in India a couple of years ago, as well. I *so* want to go back.
Hours talking sounds good anyway :-)
