Well, this is a collection of everyone's thoughts - don't think I could do that well on my own!

What whiskies have you drunk before, though? Because I didn't think I liked whisky at *all* till fairly recently; basically since we went to Islay a few months back. But there are many different ones, & they are more different than I'd have thought before Pete & Ben educated me on the subject :-)

(I like Islay whiskies, because they're very strong-tasting: in much the same way as I liked very strong cheeses when I still ate cheese).
