I would very much like to go on this. Nice trains. I do actually intend to go to Australia sometime in the next couple of years - before I turn 30, basically, so that I can get a work permit & stay over there for 6 months or so. Would be *fun*.
Despite being on 3000km track, I bet it'll still run on time a hell of a lot more often than British Rail :P
Also, it's a little amusing that for the equiv of UKP£160 (before discounts) you can get almost 2000 miles; whereas in the UK a standard open return ticket from London to/from Manchester is £182 (before discounts), for a travelling distance of 185 miles (as the crow flies).
