Sitting down in the Tate
On Friday evening whilst doing ART SCIENCE at the Tate (which was much fun), I discovered that they have stools available (possibly from the visitor information place on level 3) which you can take round with you & use to sit down when you need to! This is V Useful Information especially if, like me, you have to give up on the Art after about an hr as a rule because your feet hurt.
ION: currently in the Tate there is an absolutely fantastic video piece called Video Quartet, by Christian Marclay. Four screens, each showing a series of clips (all only a handful of seconds long) from a variety of Hollywood films; put together so that the soundtrack (& the visual impact) of all 4 work together to create something else. Very much worth a visit; I was really, really impressed.
My weekend involved Art Science as mentioned above; lots of watching of Firefly at
nou's; lots of (largely unsuccessful) bike fettling (but I did get my lovely lovely new Solidlights on! belated Xmas present from the splendid
uon, & VERY BRIGHT AND SHINY INDEED); a party at Silk's in Battersea; and PIE.
I am now at work. Boo to werk.

Artwork that shows skill and craft in composition manages to engage and entertain. What were the chances?
