101 things: finished!

Full list
Finished! Eventual figures:
1001/1001 days, 76 completed, 2 still in progress, 23 didn't happen.

That's not too bad, I reckon. Some of the things I did do were genuinely useful (building the fixie that I now ride daily, and the weekly O'Reilly blogging that was instrumental in getting the freelance stuff going, being obvious stand-outs); many of them were much fun (writing letters!). I found the monthly check-in that I did to be a useful reminder of Stuff I Want To Get Done. I almost certainly will do this again, but with a bit more built-in flexibility; there were several things on the list that in the end I just didn't want to do (and so didn't).

002. Design and knit a cardigan - very nearly finished but not quite. And I think I need to redesign & reknit the yoke, anyway.
004. Make up a proper pattern from scratch, and make the garment from it - still at halfway stage.
023. Listen to one new album (by someone I don't know already) every week for 3 months 07.09.2009
026. Get 10 band recommendations from friends, listen to them, & review them. 27.09.2009
030. Get 10 book recommendations from friends, read them, & review them. 23.09.2009
032. Read "London: The Biography" 26.09.2009 - and very good it was too.
045. Redo upstairs bathroom 07.09.2009
066. Visit relatives in Aberdeen 18.09.2009 - lovely to see people.
080. A day doing tourist-stuff in London - kept not wanting to do this, so didn't.

101. Another 101 things list - counting this as done though won't actually do anything about it till the end of the month.

The Time Out London Treasure Hunt whenever it appears is very good for getting you to see a bunch of tourist stuff (the hunt aspect is peasy - "Go to the statue of Boadicea on Westminster Bridge, what is the sixth word on the inscription?", but gives you something to do). Also the Central London section involved the British Museum, which I was entirely unaware contains the real, non-metaphorical, Rosetta Stone!

Also well done!
