Work

Oh yes, and: I am starting on the process of looking for a job in Sydney. I'm going to be there from January to mid-May, and ideally I'd like to do something sysadmin-ish if I can sort it out. So if anyone reading this has any suggestions/contacts/whatever, they would be very greatly appreciated. My CV is online.

(I'm also going to be picking the freelance stuff back up again shortly, but I don't expect that to generate enough on its own right now to keep me. But, y'know, editor-type contacts also appreciated![0])

[0] Hello to at least one editor I work with who is reading this :-)

Juliet,

Feel free to shoot me any ideas you have. I'm looking mostly for actionable, tutorial-like articles right now, so we should be able to come up with at least one or two in the short term.

I've sent an email to a couple of senior sysadmins or managers-of-sysadmins I know in Sydney to see if they've heard anything, now it's a bit closer to January.

I was just about to email you about tomorrow, in fact!

Yes, I'm definitely still up for it.

I suggest we go somewhere around Brunswick Street in Fitzroy, or Smith Street in Collingwood. (They're close together).
There are interesting vegie places around there, plus pubs and stuff.
