Mardi Gras!
Mardi Gras was awesome fun. Driving the float does not stop people from waving at you! The whole thing is *enormous* - so many floats, and spectators packed along the whole route cheering & waving flags and occasiorally propositioning people :) (Two very cute women shouted at me "Stop the float! You have to stop the float right now and come over here with us!" Sadly I felt this would probably get me into trouble...). The atmosphere was amazing, even during the 4 hrs or so of hanging around beforehand.
I wandered up the front at the start to see Dykes On Bikes lead the parade out; the first float had the Aussie diver Matthew Mitcham on it - who is outrageously cute and was clearly thoroughly enjoying himself :)
Went off to a club/afterparty thing afterwards with Chris & Nigel, & ran into other people there who I'd met earlier on, as well. All v sociable, hurrah.
Tea now & then bed - bloody knackered & likely to crash soon, I fear.
