gah

Things I cannot do with a broken thumb:
- knit
- sew
- type properly
- ride a bike
- most practical jobs (though did manage to pitch & strike a tent last weekend, and create two self-watering containers yesterday, although nearly put the stanley knife through my hand a couple of times)
- do most of my hip physio
- wash up (OK this one not such a bad thing...)

I can at least still do *some* gardening, but seriously, this is PISSING ME RIGHT OFF.

(I know, could be worse, could have been my right; at least I can still write longhand.)

In happier news, I have ordered myself an IPAD, which is good, b/c frankly right now I need something nice to cheer me up.

thank you!

thanks to all for nice symapthy/get-well msgs; am not replying individually due to fact that 1-handed typing is achey & feel i should save it for work stuff. see also spelling, abbrevs, lack of caps, etc.

things difficult to do with 1.5 operational hands: tie up dog-poo bags, open jars of honey/Marmite, do up zip on jumper (esp b/c cannot actually put jumper on properly ANYWAY).

thank fvck I have the .5 remaining i.e. LH fingers are operational.

tonight i am getting takeout curry for dinner; feel operating kitchen knife unlikely to pan out well.
