julietCouldn't go to the Seed Records birthday party in Aldwych tube last night, because it was cancelled. Bah :-( LU apparently pulled the venue at the last minute on a technicality - they're in search of anyone who knows anything about contract law (presumably to see if they can sue), so if that applies to any of you, get in touch with them via that link.
Was gutted about this, as we'd really been looking forward to it (Seed Records rock, & Aldwych would have been an ace venue). However, we managed to find something else to go dance to instead, & went off to Egg, up on York Way, for a gig in aid of Oxfam - electronica upstairs, tech-house downstairs (stayed in the electronica room till it shut at 0230, then went downstairs for about 20min before heading off). Was a good night. I'm feeling a bit meepy this morning though - possibly because Pete's off to the States for a week tomorrow morning & I shall miss him :-( Possibly just slightly come-down-y. (and, of course, ongoing Stress atm due to House, so meepiness is par for the course, especially after having to reorganise stuff yesterday & having fight with estate agent).
We also bought a kitchen yesterday evening, from MFI, which was a bit scary. It's all very nice & shiny, hurrah. And even came in significantly under budget (the nice MFI man gave us many many discounts), hurrah some more.
