Glastonbury
Jun. 30th, 2008 04:38 pmGlastonbury was BLOODY ACE. Rain did occur on Thursday evening (I sulked & went to bed early), & then intermittently on Friday, but it wasn't a major problem on Friday & by Saturday morning everything had dried out & Glorious Sunshine continued thereafter. Proper writeup to follow (er, probably), but highlights that spring to mind include: Leonard Cohen, making a STOOL out of wood, trying blacksmithing, pedalling a bicycle sound system, lots & lots of tasty chai & cake, & sitting up on Sat night at the new chillout space at the back (much calmer than the Stone Circle), with a FIRE.
We did the Overnight Train thing again, so got in just after 8am & have now slept but I am still a bit tired around the edges. Weekend has entirely restored my faith in Glastonbury, though, after grave doubts post-last-year. Which is lovely. I have concluded that whilst the weather is a big deal, an even more important big deal is being camped over the Correct side of the festival (i.e. the Green Fields, not the Pyramid side).
ION: I have skimmed LJ but won't remotely catch up. Let me know if I've missed anything interesting/important.
