Am in Boston. This is Good, especially as it means (clearly) that I'm not at work.

Slept in a bit yesterday morning, to recover from travelling & stuff (god I hate flying!). Then went for breakfast at a v nice cafe that did bagels with Tofutti (yay!) & had soya milk for the tea. Wandered round the financial district & waterfront area, where there are many very pretty buildings (though also quite a lot of building work). Then up to North End, the Italian area, & saw some form of religious ceremony thingy with a statue of a saint with lots of money pinned to it, & a brass band, all parading up & down the street. Sat around in a bar for a bit, then headed off for dinner with Jesse (whose lj name I cannot remember) & Tara. Which was very pleasant, & involved an *enormous* amount of very nice food. Mmm food.

Off to do the Freedom Trail walk this morning, & then head off to the Boston Public Library, because a) it's pretty & b) I like libraries (there's a surprise).
