Christmas present!

Pete has bought me a digital camera (Nikon Coolpix 2100. Silly name, nice camera) for my Christmas. I am quite ludicrously overexcited about this, *bounce bounce*.

Have done the filing at work, go me. Hopefully I will get something else useful done in the 3.5hrs remaining before I head home... Wine & mince pies downstairs in a minute, mind - there's only about 5 of us in, so much laxness & so forth is occurring.

Wonder if I can get away with trying to finish Dad's scarf while I'm sat here? Hmm...

Want to go *home*. Have just realised that I'm going to have to wash Dad's scarf once it's finished, as knitting it in the pub led to a certain amount of smoke-smell. Whoops.

Only an hour left... 6Music is being good, which is nice. And now there is no one else in this office at all, so I am dossing horribly & reading skiing websites. Off to Saas Fe in less than 3 weeks, hurrah!

Separation from computer lasted all of 5 1/2 hrs, before my father insisted on watching some revolting documentary about the Beckhams, & I ran away upstairs.

I had forgotten how much TV gets watched here. I don't really like TV, & certainly not when it's just on for the sake of it.

In other news: the scarf *may* actually get finished by tomorrow, if I crack on with it now & stop pissing about on LJ. 27 rows left...

Paternal gift (nice stripy scarf) successfully finished, blocked, & wrapped. Hurrah for me. Hands now slightly achey. It is entirely possible that Dad has now seen his present, owing as how I have spent the last 4 hours sat in the living-room knitting, but he's usually pretty unobservant, so we can hope not.
