Final booze tally for last week: somewhere around 35 units (based on: 15.5 from Monday-Thurs, cheers [livejournal.com profile] boyofbadgers, 2 pints nice beer Friday night = c. 5u, around 5 decent-size vodkas Friday night = c 7u (I don't pour 'em that large), 1 bottle Old Brewery Sat night = c.2.5u, 3 glasses wine Sat night = c. 4.5u). Gosh.

What with that, & reading the Vegan Society magazine this morning at work, which has a thing about detoxing, I am thinking that a few weeks of mild detoxing might be a plan. I've been feeling mentally not at my best recently, & whilst I am fully aware of the causes of that, being in physically better condition might help with dealing with them. Also at least I get to feel all virtuous & stuff :-) Though I do not plan to do this in a dramatic sort of way - more a minimising of the bad stuff & maximising of the good stuff.

Went up to Oxford on Friday to catch up with Richard (best mate from college). Pub, with BEER, & then back to his, where we talked lots, drank vodka (me) & beer (him), & went through most of his record collection in an inebriated fashion. Yay. Finally got to sleep around 5am, whoops.

This, of course, meant that a certain amount of sitting around going "ugh" was required the next morning, but I did manage to get myself back to Bermondsey around 4pm. Headed back out for [livejournal.com profile] katstevens' birthday celebrations #2, at the Blue Posts, a couple of hours later, which was fun. And then on to Stay Beautiful, also fun. Though I wasn't entirely in the mood - not sure why. Probably part of my general slight not-quite-depression atm. The dancefloor is *too damn small*. Really. To the point of getting me slightly claustrophobic a couple of times. The sofas out by the front are good, though.

London.crafts meet at [livejournal.com profile] nou's house on Sunday, which was much fun. [livejournal.com profile] marnameow made roast potatoes (yay! And I didn't eat all of them! Only *some* of them!); [livejournal.com profile] nou made veggie chilli & mushroom soup, I brought the Very Hot Salsa along (very hot, but not *too* hot, appeared to be the general consensus, which is certainly my feeling). Much knitting occurred - I'm now a good 11" down the first sleeve of Pete's jumper, & accelerating (cos it's decreasing, you see, thus fewer stitches after every inch or so). Although I have had to rip out the top I started on, as it was working out a little too large. Still, better to do this now than later.

This morning, I got up at 0730, turned the shower on, looked at the shower for a bit, turned it back off & went back to bed for an hour. I wasn't feeling that much more awake, or inclined to go into work, at 0830, either, but it was becoming more imperative that I get my act together by then. Not been vastly productive today... Have, however, had nice lunch with [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth, & contemplated this detox business.
