  • I have a sniffle. Bah. [livejournal.com profile] catsgomiaow is also sniffly, so maybe it is Evil Glasto Mud-Bug. I am also utterly utterly exhausted. Ah well, it was worth it :-)
  • Had fresh raspberries from the garden for breakfast this morning, mmm, and fresh baby carrots & rocket as a midmorning snack. And the courgette plant is flowering, so soon there will be courgettes as well!
  • I have ordered a cheap compost bin from Southwark Council, who seem to wish to give us 70 quids' worth of compost bin & kitchen-compost-collector & so forth for a tenner. Which is nice of them.
  • I have also asked the Centre for Alternative Technology about recycling Tetrapaks - apparently there's somewhere you can post 'em to to be recycled, but the person in the Greenpeace field who told me this knew no further details. Should you also be interested in such things, Watch This Space for more info as it arrives.
  • No Sweat now doing pink high-top Converse-a-likes, in conjunction with a feminist anti-war group, for a mere $43 plus shipping. Red high-tops will be going on sale later this week. Go buy!
  • Just in case there are any women on my FL who haven't already been pointed at this: Mooncups rock. Environmentally friendly alternative to tampons (stop contributing to the horrendous quantities of the things ending up in the sea) which are also cheaper (£18, last for 10 years minimum), more comfortable (IME, & there's a 3-month money-back guarantee if you disagree once you've tried), more convenient, & you don't have to pay Gordon Brown vast swathes of VAT every month. Plus some people reckon they're good for period pains.

I appear to be in hippy mode today. Well, I spent most of yesterday complaining that I wanted to go back to Glastonbury & live in a field, so... I'm sure it'll wear off soon & I will go back to my normal partly-hippy self instead.

Is it hometime yet? I am having to come into work tomorrow despite the Tube strike, bah humbug.
