I had a splendid evening on Monday, with truly excellent company, discussions about an exciting variety of things (inc feminism, body image, and the philosophy of consciousness), some BOSH, & possibly a little too much of the boozes.
But after a fry-up yesterday (as cooked by me - the greasy spoon was shut over the holiday), felt entirely up to a gentle bike ride with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
uon to Staves Hill, as per last year. Except this year doop was fully OK with riding on roads, performing right turns, etc etc. It was very nice indeed - the view from there is splendid.
Also I got to test out my new front wheel (which I built myself! from scratch!) which works both in the "turning round & no spokes falling out" sense and in the "dynamo actually powers light" sense. (NB I did not build the dynamo hub myself, I bought that bit from the nice people at Shimano.) The latter particularly good as there is something of a bodge going on with wire, mangled spade connectors, solder, and electrical tape, in order to convert Schmidt light into Shimano connection; not to mention the slightly unusual fork mount.
Today I am revising, go me.
Also: tell me stuff! (Likelihood is that I will not in fact do the "construct review" part of this but We Shall See.)
