Singapore: brief update

In Singapore now - staying with the lovely
jhaelan &
euphuistica, which is very nice indeed! Yesterday we went for a walk in the rainforest, where there were MONKEYS, and also BABY MONKEYS. And terrapins, and a fish eagle, and a chameleon. I was very impressed (especially with the baby monkeys, who sat in a tree watching us watching them in a slightly confused-looking fashion). After that we got caught in a torrential downpour, which was entertaining in a very damp sort of way.
Cocktails at Raffles later on were entertaining in a much more civilised sort of way; as was dinner and then beer.
In further "wildlife" news, there are kittens, who are about 10 weeks old and utterly adorable.
And tonight I am off to Darwin, where it is ludicrously hot, apparently. Oh good.
My Dad tells me that I have now travelled 12,860 miles. That's quite a long way. More to go yet...
