Detoxing

Discovered this morning that green tea with peppermint is rather nice. Which is a legitimate thing to drink (a couple of cups a day) on this detoxing thing. Have also discovered that Twinings do a mixed pack of various herbal teas, so I shall try buying that & see what I like.

Other good discovery: I can eat as much as I like in the way of seeds. So I have been happily gromphing a nice mix of roasted pumpkin/hemp/linseed/sesame seeds, flavoured with a little fennel & cumin seed, rosemary, sage, & a splash of soy sauce. Mmm.

In other news: spent yesterday evening over at [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth's, which was of course v fine. And Monday evening saw Mark Thomas, who was also good. Although a bit less *angry* than on his TV shows. What we saw was basically him warming up for, & trying things out for, the TV shows, so I guess that's not surprising. In case anyone didn't already know: boycott Coca Cola.

TEA

Yesbut it is not as good as GREEN JASMINE TEA or indeed WHITE TEA, which is like green tea but plus plus! I am slightly disturbed at my sudden pro-poncey tea leanings but yum yum they = super tasty, mark my words.

And as for seeds yes they are good for detox but not good for my bluddy pennies - 3.55 for a tub down Planet Organic? I think they can kiss my bottom.

Irn Bru is better than Coca Cola anyway.

Coke is the drink of the deathsquads.

I have a theory that Mark Thomas is [livejournal.com profile] zotz's long-lost twin. Or possibly that they're the same person. I've never seen them together!

Gumph yes but WORK ugh. I only have cumin, coriander and fennygreeky type seeds anyway. I might get some money out for some seeds at lunch seeing as all the Roses are nearly finished chiz chiz :(

I'm glad there are genuine reasons to boycott Coke.

It means I can seem more righteous in my own boycott (which is still ongoing, btw), which admittedly is down to the rather petty reason of them butchering "I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel To Be Free" on their latest advert...

after initially being heartened to hear that coca cola have apparently been using their billions to off trade union leaders (a more disreputable category is hard to find - i did once meet ron todd though), i am now dismayed because having given up caffeine for lent i am now unable to celebrate with a two litre bottle of coca cola (which can often be found in these parts for around 55p).

I did, and still do, find it wierd that various people who are all totally anti-multinational-evil-corporations still go around drinking Coca Cola and smoking cigarettes.
