This looks like it might be interesting, not to say useful - I have 4 different computers that I use on a regular basis (home desktop, my/work's laptop, Pete's laptop, work desktop) and something enabling me to share bookmarks between them sounds v good.
Nice calm weekend, which was nice. Met up with
kitty_goth, returned from New York, in Borough market on Saturday morning, to acquire nice bread, falafels for breakfast, and Jordanian fool (broad bean puree thing with lemon & coriander & whatnot. Very nice indeed). Then off to meet assorted other folk at the Brunel Engine House Museum, and have a guided tour on the tube across from Rotherhithe to Wapping and back, to see the Thames Tunnel (first ever public tunnel under a major river, apparently). Which I liked, but then I am a tube geek :-) Then headed up to Islington to a party being given by Ben's friend Sonia. I knew absolutely no one else there, but had a good couple of hours anyway - many very friendly people. Ben & I very briefly thought about Stay Beautiful, but given his jetlag decided Bad Plan. So we watched a couple more episodes of Dungeons and Dragons, and had takeout curry, and curled up in bed with the laptop for more Dungeons & Dragons-watching (oh dear we really are regressing...) and Ben fell asleep for a bit while I read, and other terribly terribly dull things to do on a Saturday night when I should be out gallivanting... But I had a lovely evening :-)
Today we met assorted folk for picnic on Potter's Field (by the GLA building), followed by a v fun production of Much Ado About Nothing at the Globe - the same all-female company we saw do Taming of the Shrew last year. And very good they were too - Josie Lawrence as Benedick did very well, but I enjoyed all of it. Very different in style, of course, to the version of Hamlet we saw the other week (& I'd kind of like to see them done the other way around now...), but thoroughly enjoyed both.
The Bermondsey Contingent & assorted others headed to the pub - B & I headed down to Streatham to admire the newly de-Ikead upstairs flat (which is very fine indeed) - shame it rained so we couldn't fully use/appreciate the roof terrace! Very good to see
spikeylady,
ciphergoth,
ergotia &
lilithmagna albeit the latter two only briefly.
And now Pete & Marna & co are over at Marna & Sean's, & I have arrived home & eaten dinner, & now I shall go over there & see if Marna will cut my hair nice & short for me. Good weekend.
