What will happen to leftover pizza if I put it in the fridge? Will it go soggy? I don't want to leave it on the table (which would be my customary approach if, say, at home) ftb Cockroach Problem - I am pretty sure they'll be able to get into the box. Maybe if I put it through in the study. I haven't seen evidence any scuttly things on the desk through there.

Leftover pizza will be fine in the fridge.

You could try putting it in the oven, but not turning the oven on.

I was about to say - if it does go soggy a few minutes in the oven should make it tasty again. But that's no good to you, is it?

I would go crazy and buy a roachproof tupperware container to put it in!

I agree with [livejournal.com profile] djm4 - I think it's less likely to go soggy in the fridge than in a container. We always put pizza leftovers in the fridge - ours generally have cheese on them, and I don't like leaving dairy products out overnight.

I'll join the chorus: Stick it in the fridge. It'll be fine.

I tend to put pizza in a ziplock and stick it in the fridge. In fact I did this on Sunday and re-heated it on Tuesday and it was fine. If you want to avoid sogginess, just don't put it in a microwave!

I'd go with the fridge solution in this particular instance, but my other option for similar situations (where there is some reason not to want it to get cold) is the microwave. It's got a pretty decent seal - enough to keep out UK flies, for instance, but I'm not 100% sure it'd repel determined antipodean roaches, though.

fridge pizza is ever so slightly soggy, but only in a good and tasty leftover way so that's what I'd go for. ALthough only if you are confident that you have removed all the roaches from the inside of the fridge after the weekend's escapades!
