The figure skating scoring is down to cheating amongst judges. Now if you do X properly, you know you will get Y points and the problems are down to things like bonuses for doing X later in the programme (because of presumed tiredness) and someone doing all their jumps in the second half. Not so good to watch, but got lots of technique points.

The board halfpipe final was great, and did show why it's 'best run' rather than 'total of three scores'. If they did the latter, the smart thing to do would be to play it safe on the ground that 70+70+70 is much bigger than 30+30+100. This way, they're given three tries to show they can do the hard stuff.

The BBC commentary duo doing the 'air show' winter sports are great... and yes, the snowboard ones look better than the ski ones.
