I want to ride my bicycle
Jul. 21st, 2005 03:02 pmLots of bike discussion lately. For the benefit, therefore, of cyclists & would-be cyclists amongst my London-based readership: cycle guide maps now available online (Java required). Also, Journeyplanner now handles bike-journey planning as well.

Date: 2005-07-21 02:39 pm (UTC)Second-hand locations: Pedal It, 18 Newington Causeway; Recycling, 110 Elephant Road (both recommended by Southwark Cyclists). And the London Bicycle Tour Company at Gabriel's Wharf sell off their ex-hire bikes at the end of the summer (they'll have been regularly serviced, so that might be a good deal). If you're serious, want to go have a look at the first two weekend after next? I'd be interested anyway to go look at nice bikes [grin] & you could find out how many quidpounds they are.
Cycle Training have a deal with Southwark Council whereby Southwark residents can get free/subsidised roadcraft lessons - don't know the details exactly but worth contacting them.
