Experimentations in public transport: today I caught the bus to work instead of the tube. This was because I had my viola with me, & on a crowded tube you get glared at a *lot* for having something the size of a viola-case. Ken tells us that buses have spare capacity; & indeed this appears to be true, as I got a seat on the no 12 all the way from Lancaster Gate to St George's Circus, & no one glared at me at all. It was also 15p cheaper (£1 as against £1.15 with a Carnet on the tube). On the other hand, it took 15min or so longer door-to-door. Worth it for the seat, though.

Experimentations in shopping: well, OK, not actually experimentations as such, more just shopping. [livejournal.com profile] marnameow's poll on books got me thinking about books, from which it was just a short step to amazon. Whoops. Still. Have books on way (Consciousness Explained, Woman On The Edge Of Time, & a preorder of the next Harry Potter which was possibly a bit overenthusiastic of me, but it *is* 50% off, & I would be planning to buy it as-&-when). Also have nice Lush products on way. This spending thing is getting all carried away, especially as I am planning clothes, & possibly shoes, buying at the weekend.
