Like [livejournal.com profile] daneel_olivaw I too am feeling strangely bouncy. I am, of course, frequently bouncy, but not normally first thing at work, & certainly not after a long weekend of FUN. I shall enjoy it while it lasts. Maybe it's partly the sunshine - certainly made the walk into work nicer.

Wireless-card-induced stress was calmed down last night by going round to [livejournal.com profile] marnameow & [livejournal.com profile] sbp's. [livejournal.com profile] sbp suggested useful things to try to make the Wireless Magic work (some of which I should really have thought of by myself, but your head tends to get a bit stuck after a couple of hours of fighting with recalcitrant hardware). And there was chatting & fun, & the consumption of water as I felt my liver wouldn't appreciate more wine :-)

Then we went home, put blankets over the bed, & got the ratgirls out (for the first time since moving - it's been the first time we've had *space*, but it's been rather unfair to them). After an exciting 5 minutes while 6 rats all leant over the edge of the bed in different directions at once, & we ran round hauling them back so they didn't go charging off exploring, they all settled down to charging excitedly round & round. Except Myste, who pootled around for a bit then came back to sit in my lap, do her pancake-rat impression, & be scritched. Bless :-) Bramble failed to kick the crap out of Storm, so that's a good sign for getting Storm back into the main cage (hopefully tomorrow, after we've cleaned them out. Fingers crossed). The bed as rat-run has a major advantage over the rat-corral, in that it means we have to pay attention & play with them rather than just letting them entertain themselves, so we might stick to that for a bit longer rather than sorting out the rat-corral.

Am definitely going to B-Movie on Friday, hurrah; have cancelled current set of Edinburgh train tickets. May yet still be going up on Saturday morning v early, but plans are currently on hold. This means that crashspace is available, as mentioned elsewhere. I now have the WHAT TO WEAR crisis: I want to wear my nice bodice thingy, but what to wear with it is more problematic.

Back to greyhounds now, then.
