Bit soggy out this morning. Especially for cycling. However! I have waterproof trousers, & the waterproof shoe-things that [livejournal.com profile] simonb generously donated to me got their first outing and were very successful. And I have a friendly relationship with the man who directs traffic at the roadworks on my way to work (based entirely on smiling at him & saying hello as I pass every morning), so he always holds the traffic in my direction when he sees me coming & I don't have to wait in traffic getting even more damp. Nice man.

Missed the last episode of Sex & The City last night, bother. Anyone tape it? [hopeful look]

Off to ATP tomorrow, hurrah hurrah, and also [bounce]. And I have hummous&rocket sandwiches for lunch today, & am meeting [livejournal.com profile] martling for said lunch, & then seeing [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth tonight. Also [bounce]. Although I have also discovered that even if the spare rocket leaves are only going to be next to an orange for a very *little* while, it's a little while too long & now they taste funny. Bah. Hopefully the sandwiches will not have suffered similarly.

*Bored* of work now. Want to go home (well, technically, want to go to St P, but whatever. Want to be not-here, is the point).

You can tell it must be spring, as I am getting spring-cleaning urges. Seriously - around this time of year, I start wanting to tidy everything up, & clean things, & possibly even throw things away. Last year this coincided quite neatly with moving house, so I got quite a bit chucked out then. Last night I managed to drastically tidy up the space by the sink in the bedroom, though doubtless it will become chaotic again unless I tidy up everything else in the area as well. Next weekend, I reckon.

Maybe it's to do with the weather lifting - somehow, the longer the days get, and the brighter it gets, the *bigger* the world feels. And then I want the house to feel bigger as well, which means that I need to get rid of accumulated junk. Happily, also, summer means that the house *does* get bigger, as it can spread into the garden. I love the lovely garden. I swear one of the raspberry plants I planted out yesterday grew a good inch more of shoot over yesterday afternoon.

Ooh look, I can go home soon.
