Beer & bottles

A note, in case people missed it over the weekend: we have several bottles of Indian-takeaway lager in our house which are FREE to anyone who wants 'em. Ideally collect, but I may be able to sort out bike-delivery.

And a request: does anyone regularly use 2l (or even better, 3l) plastic bottles, and wouldn't mind saving them for me? I can make self-watering plant pots out of them! Plastic tubs (apparently some sorts of cat litter come in tubs, or at least they do in TV's America) also useful for similar project.

That's what I swig my Diet Crack from - we have recyc. boxes, but I can put them to one side instead.

Plastic tubs also useful for similar project.
How big? This might be an excuse for eating those mini chocolate brownies and the like. [grin]

Sure! I can grow small plants in them :-)

Ooh, I've just thought of a useful thing I can do with that old wheel, viz, take the spokes out & use them for plant-stakes :)

bottles: cheers! A few of those would be great. nou provided cider bottles for the last batch but I believe uon now has designs on those for similar balcony-container purposes :)

Plastic tubs: I can probably do *something* with any size more than about, hrm, 6-9" across? If you have some, pass 'em on & if I can't use them in the end I'll recycle them.

No problem - I'll stockpile any empties and let you know when there are a couple ready for you.

Tubs: I don't actually have any right now, I was just looking for the excuse, but they're under 6" across, so I probably won't get them after all.

If it wasn't trashed, you could take them out and use them as spokes. (I'm assuming it wasn't prone to breaking them).

It's a 26" wheel, though, & a rear one at that, so spoke length likely to be wrong for any other wheels I have about the place.

I go through at least one (rectangular ish with handle) 3L plastic milk container per week - if that shape is any use to you just say and I will stash for you.
