Busy busy. Still not over, in fact, but as I'm in front of a computer currently (waiting for [livejournal.com profile] martling to be done in a lecture) I may as well say some stuff.

BMovie on Friday was generally fun. I had to choose a skirt *all on my own* because [livejournal.com profile] marnameow was stuck on tubes, but managed to overcome this sartorial crisis successfully. [livejournal.com profile] beingjdc showed up just as we were about to leave, which was good timing, but we were still late enough that we missed getting a table. However, the attempt to get table led to being there at around 8.30, which is a peculiar time to start being at a club & meant that by around midnight my brain thought it should be 2 or 3am & objected a bit. Many lovely people showed up. There was dancing & BOOZE & stuff. [livejournal.com profile] uon had a lovely shiny skirt, shiny shiny. [livejournal.com profile] beingjdc had, as has been mentioned elsewhere, his shirt removed for him. I had a bit of a wibble around midnight - to do with tiredness, & slight remaining hangover from Thursday, & shitty day at work, & other people being stressed, I think - but then the DJ put on the Loud Bouncy Music, & I cheered myself up significantly by jumping up & down lots. Hurrah. Herded people back to Bermondsey afterwards & collapsed with shocking backache which sadly meant I slept not at all. Whoops.

Saturday morning began with truly fantastic breakfast produced by [livejournal.com profile] marnameow. By this stage I hadn't eaten anything for 17 hrs, & it demonstrates my state of mind that as I sat around in the kitchen on the verge of tears, it did not occur to me till halfway through the food a bit later that this would be down to lack of food. And I *know* how I react to lack of food. Silly Juliet, should eat more regularly. Anyway, there was sitting around & chatting to [livejournal.com profile] daneel_olivaw & [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth & assorted other folk, & then I had to head Edinburgh-wards. But not before taking [livejournal.com profile] kitty_goth, [livejournal.com profile] daneel_olivaw, [livejournal.com profile] beingjdc & [livejournal.com profile] atommickbrane, along with a friend of Kitty's whose name I forget, back to ours to meet the ratties. Of whom there are some cute photos.

I shall draw a veil over the train journey - it only took 1.5hrs longer than the advertised 4.5, after all. And I did get some sleep in. [livejournal.com profile] martling was, impressively, actually there on time to meet me, & we went to get FOOD before I collapsed entirely. Then off to the SU for drinking & a club of sorts, where I met [livejournal.com profile] ciphergoth as per previous post. Didn't stay too long though due to knackeredness.

Sunday we went off to the airfield to go gliding. I did get to go up, & it was *fun*. It's so peculiar that it's not powered - it *feels* like it must be powered, because you're moving. But you can feel the air shoving you around. I got to actually fly the thing a bit, & didn't do anything too disastrous. I wouldn't mind going again; but I don't think I could cope with going along regularly. The flying bit is ace, but there's a *hell* of a lot of standing around betweentimes. *whoosh*, though!

Got back pretty late, but since everything in Edinburgh starts & finishes later (because of sensible licensing restrictions), there was still plenty of time for food & pub & another club (called DKY). I was *shockingly* underdressed (if I'd known there would be clubbing I'd have brought more clothes!), but they played some decent stuff (among some shitty stuff, but there we go), & you could buy a vodka&coke for a quid, & there was fun. Hurrah.

Wander round Edinburgh this afternoon, I think, before I have to head back. Though sadly the morning sunshine has given way to grey clouds, bah.
