julietI still haven't written about Glasto. I still intend to (mostly for my own purposes, but there we go). The trouble is I need to be somewhere near the listing thingy, or I'll forget stuff. Mind you, I expect I'll forget stuff anyway.
The last week or so has been pretty busy, one way & another. BMovie was fun, with the bouncing around & stuff, & it was quite nice that it was not sold out - good to be able to *move*! simonb & ejde who were staying on our floor. The trouble with having to get to BMovie early is that by midnight or so it's getting to the time where I feel I've *been* at the club for the right amount of time, & it's time to go home. Which is particularly bad when, as in this case, it transpires that the hour & a half after we left had *really good music*. Bah. Ah well, had a nice sit around & chat when we got in, anyway.
Saturday I was supposed to be going to Deal withmartling for a party, but I bailed cos I was feeling a bit dodgy. Played with laptop instead (dist-upgrade went Horribly Wrong; I fear I may have to reinstall, arses. We shall see - haven't touched it since) & took myself over to Islington to see kitty_goth. There was, unsurprisingly, pub. And then drinking at Kitty's. But I did *not* go to Slimelight, for I am sensible. Oh yes. Sadly, events meant that I didn't get the last tube home either :-/ but lovely Pete forked out for a taxi for me.
Sunday: parent-visiting (we went down to theirs). Which was rather nice, in fact. Enormous quantities of food & alcohol, as per usual with my parents. Dad & I wandered round the garden & prodded at plants - I really must be getting old :-) Especially as I also pinched an article from his Gardening Which (it was about blackberries! I want to plant a blackberry cane come the autumn. You're only supposed to plant them in autumn or spring, you see). They have 4 frogs in their pond, which is pretty impressive as the pond is only about a foot across.
Since the weekend I have mostly been in the PUB. Withkitty_goth, ciphergoth & bootpunk on Monday; & assorted kittens on Tuesday (with added pizza. Yay pizza). Stayed out of pub yesterday, & martling came over instead. I intended to do some plant repotting, but it sort of didn't happen. Lovely marnameow cooked us FOOD, which was good, & I got to admire her new baby plants.
Have ordered some new baby plants myself, in fact. They've just told me they're sold out of a couple of things, but I should still be getting 2 sorts of thyme, creeping savoury, marjoram & nasturtiums. Hurrah! Plus the chive seedlings have come up, the rocket is growing away happily, the basil is TAKING OVER THE WORLD, & I have discovered a grapevine, with Actual Real Grapes, next to the shed. Gosh.
Off to Cornwall tonight, hurrah. Holiday++
