Tomorrow night

Anyone else fancy coming along to see General Khaki tomorrow at the Betsey Trotwood, with myself & much of the rest of the Bermondsey Contingent plus hangers-on? Will update here when I know what time doors are.

NB it is Pete's birthday tomorrow so everyone should buy him drinks :-)

Have spent almost all of afternoon asleep. Still feeling snotty, but less wobbly than I was this morning. Sorted out a certain amount of Glastonbury unpacking, as well (one load of washing in the machine, pile constructed of Things Needing Scrubbed Off Outside to do at the weekend, non-washable-stuff put away). Intend now to wrap P's birthday presents, consume more anti-cold-drink (lemonjuicehotwatergingerwinegratedgingercinnamon), gargle with WHISKY & go to bed.

In other news, one of the courgette plants has grown baby courgettes! And the raspberries are producing lots of lovely raspberries, mmm.

My raspberry canes are doing fantastically too! I have to go out and pick every other day at least, or they go to waste. wechsler got them caned up properly as they were getting a bit big and also getting swamped by some neighbouring vegetation, and so they're getting more sun and not drooping.

I stuck some canes in mine, as well, but I think I may need to have another go at them this weekend, & cut back some of the other vegetation on the fence. I'm picking a decent handful of raspberries every day or every other day, & they weren't even *supposed* to fruit this year!

I think it's just been such an exceptionally warm and damp spring/early summer that everything's going mad.
Shame my strawberry plants got throttled by ground elder over the winter - don't think the survivors will manage to fruit.
