Nov. 5th, 2004 02:45 pmDefinitely been a slow week. Wednesday night involved Going To Bed Very Early, though I'm still feeling weary. Suspect I shall not be up for the Raucous Partying tomorrow, though I shall endeavour to do a little Quiet Partying instead. Date with
kitty_goth last night, where we ate curry, and attempted to watch Clockwork Orange. This lasted approximately 10 minutes, before I got fed up of having to keep shutting my eyes & concluded that it was Too Violent. So we watched Silent Running instead, which was good. And had very cute little robots. Kitty decided that the way to get rid of his cold was to drink a mixture of lemon juice, orange juice, honey, hot water, & *minced garlic*. He did, apparently, feel 'much better' this morning, but only at the cost of some serious offence to my nose in the meantime.
In House News: we've had our mortgage offer confirmed (hurrah!), & are now waiting for the solicitor to send us the things to sign. Proposed completion date = 26th Nov. (obv this is still not confirmed until we've signed things, etc etc). Meep.

Date: 2004-11-05 02:30 pm (UTC)Wait till they confirm the completion date, then the packing and paniking starts. We found ours out with only 10 days to go, and I'm still heavy breathing. There is so much to organise.
Good luck on everything, look forward to reading about your packing woes!

Date: 2004-11-05 03:19 pm (UTC)We're going to do some re-decorating eventually, but nothing needs doing drastically. There is wallpaper all over, the type that has sticky out bits, so that will al come off, but it's all more than liveable. Even if the lounge is a horrible green, with green carpet. And the spare room is lilac with lilac carpet. They liked a lot of colour. Which we don't!
I like cream, that way it doesn't matter if the furniture doesn't match each other, as they will all go with the cream walls.
Crafty?
Good luck

Date: 2004-11-05 04:49 pm (UTC)I have 'friended' (ugh ugh ugh this is a wrong word) you now, Bea. I only noticed that you had an LJ recently and in passing, and I hadn't noticed that you'd embuddied me. I don't do a huge amount of LJ: I've posted nine updates since I got the thing three and a half months ago, and several of those were effectively crossposted to JL anyway. You've really not missed much, you know.
While we're at on the subject...
As this might suggest, I'm trying to keep my usage down. Anyone else who feels I should chumify them should tell me. I may well not have noticed you. Certainly, there are people who have amigiated me whose real life identies I don't know.

Date: 2004-11-06 02:02 am (UTC)It used to be on telly a lot when I was small, so I've seen it lots. I should get the DVD. It's peripherally Apocalyptic, so maybe I'll be able to sneak it past Marna.
