I was thinking the same: "This is the best the fearsome al-Qaeda can do? Come on." I was expecting the inevitable al-Qaeda attack to be spectacular and involve at least hundreds of deaths, if not turn much of central London into Pripyat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pripyat%2C_Ukraine)-on-Thames by means of a dirty bomb/one of the hundreds of ex-Soviet backpack nukes unaccounted for. It's no comfort to those who lost loved ones in it, of course, but it's almost a relief that the Brigades of Death's worst turned out to be a relative fizzer.
