Proms tonight
Aug. 16th, 2004 11:39 amAnyone interested in going to the Proms tonight with myself,
dogrando,
kitty_goth & possibly
sbp?
Musorgsky 'Night On Bare Mountain', Rimsky-Korsakov 'Mlada' (Act 3), & Stravinsky 'The Rite Of Spring'. Lovely Russians.
Starts at 1930, so I suggest meeting at 1850 at Door 10 (the door for the Gallery) of the Albert Hall (anyone who needs to get there earlier let me know - I work just across the road so can meet people before then if required). Tickets 4quid a head, & we'll be up in the Gallery which doesn't have seating (well, it does have a handful of seats allocated at the discretion of the stewards if you have a reason for needing one), but you can sit/lie down on the floor. Lying down listening to lovely music is ace. Bring a bottle of water.
The week has once again started in a happy fashion courtesy of
kitty_goth's & my becoming-traditional Monday morning visit to the Southwark Park Cafe for breakfast. Mmmm chips&beans. Also Proper Tea, of the sort where the lad half-filled my mug from the pot that had clearly been sat on the side brewing basically since they opened at 0645, & then topped it up with hot water from the coffee machine. Top stuff.
This week is looking busy: Proms tonight, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum tomorrow night, date with Pete Wednesday, Warp boat party Thursday, date with Ben (& possible attendance at Perversion - his preference - or How Does It Feel - my preference). Eep.
