Isn't it a *gorgeous* morning?

My bike is at the Bike Doctor. Hopefully the Bike Doctor (aka Evans Cycles in London Bridge) will make it well again & cycling will once again be fun instead of a hideous chore. Failing this I shall have to conclude that I am in some way ill myself & go to the Human Doctor. I don't *feel* ill, though - only a little weary which is probably explicable by not getting enough sodding sleep.
In lift on way up to office: cute American girl looks at my (newly-dyed-dark-red) hair & says "Was it you that had the blue hair before?". I admit to this, & mention its temporary & accidental greenness last week[0], & she grins & says "I got rid of mine a while back". And then, sadly, the lift stops at her floor & she has to leave. Having cute girls talk to me in lifts is invariably cheering.

I have a List of house-related stuff to do. I must not forget that I am *actually* here in order to Do Work & not in order to phone mortgage company/solicitors/estate agent/etc etc etc.

[0] Due, I believe, to the combination of sea & sun in Norfolk. Whoops. Although I rather liked it for a bit.

Evans Cycles in London Bridge

This is a gratuitous plug for On Your Bike. Who are also down that part of the world, and are lovely.

I've always found On Your Bike to be expensive. I'm quite prepared to believe that this is because they sell good stuff, but it's enough to put off low-to-middle end cyclists such as myself.

Their kit is, but the workshop are very competent, and reasonable. They fitted a groupset for me for free and no money last month.

Yes but what are you doing this weekend apart from house-stressing?

Coming down tonight, nabbing MarnaKeys and possibly a sheep, going back rapidly North to a pub for ally's birthday, then probably on to Kill All Hippies, back south for some sleep, persuadable on tomorrow afternoon, then almost certainly Glamourama, but slight possibility of Computer Blue instead. Home on Sunday...

Er, I is running around. Google for them - Glamourama is mostly likely to be a Bowie night. Computer Blue is post-romo, electro, etc. I think both are linked off of thisisromo.com, in fact.

Memo to self - next time get job where office is not on first floor. [grin]

I always take the stairs; the lifts at work smell of smoker too often.
