Glastonbury thoughts...

catsgomiaow mentioned ID & CitizenCard & whatnot for getting into Glastonbury. Note that you *don't* have to get a CitizenCard if you don't want one[0] to get onsite. A photo driving licence is also acceptable, as is your passport. Passports haven't been mentioned on the website because they don't want to promote them since the police think they're too valuable for people to be carting around the festival with them. If you do take yours, you should put it in the lockup immediately on arrival.

In other news, it occurs to me that I used to have a little tin for putting fagends in (they don't biodegrade, & the cows don't like them, so every single one dropped on the floor has to be picked up again before the cows can come back), but have lost it. But! these people sell little pocket ashtrays for £2.99 apiece. I shall be acquiring one - anyone else want one & I can get a job lot? (specify design if bothered)

I also need a folding chair (knees increasingly buggered...) & a space blanket to put under the sleeping bags. Must go camping-shop shopping!

40 quid for a folding chair??

I got 2 for a fiver from the car parts shop (no I don't know why the car parts shop sold chairs, I think it was as part of a "get in your car and go places this summer, going places == picnic == FOLDING CHAIRS!" thing). Can look if they still do them if you want. They're the three-legged sort that just scrunch up.

To be fair though they're not brushed stainless-steel with a choice of black or ecru linen seat like Muji's will be. ;-)

Stools (am assuming 3-legged = stools, as cannot imagine 3-legged chair-with-back being stable) are no good, sadly - I need something with a back, or I'll just bollocks my back up whilst minding my knees :-) The Blacks one for 15quid (which is rather more like it!) above has a back & also a carrying case with shoulder strap, which sounds about right.

The Millets one is only £9.99 but doesn't seem to have any kind of carrying thing.

Oh, and this one has a carrying bag, & is only 12 quid. That site has quite a lot of chairs, actually.

I want to get paid to do the online shopping googling/froogling for other people all day, please, thanks. :-)

Thank you! There's some useful-looking things there - I suspect the thing to do may be to visit Black's in person to check things out, & possibly then buy online if I'll save CASH. (though obv there is issue with postage prices, so may not save that much).
