Apr. 11th, 2003 05:35 pmThe Internet is broken. More accurately, BT is broken (surprise), & Neale is trying to make them fix things. This is most aggravating, as everything I need to do in a WERK line requires some form of connectivity, & also I cannot write the emails I was wanting to write. Curses. (so am instead writing this to be posted in due course).
I did, in the end, change pub-going on Wednesday to sitting-around-on-sofa. Which was for the best, generally. Was nice to see Martin, & I introduced him to the wonders of the West Wing (which he appreciated, being an individual of good taste), hurrah.
Yesterday I got to have a very expensive massage at a place called Relax on Brewer St (vouchers were a Christmas/birthday present from Pete). And most enjoyable it was too - came away feeling all happy and floaty. If only I could afford to do such things more often… any budding massage therapists out there who want a body to practise on, perchance? Pete, bless him, also paid for me to take a taxi home rather than polluting my newly-acquired blissfulness by fighting through tube/traffic, which made me feel all grown-up & pampered. And then I got home and dinner was in the process of being produced (veggie burgers (Sosmix) with salsa & rocket leaves & nice buns, artichoke, & green beans), which was even better, especially as we got to watch Buffy whilst eating it (& then an extra Buffy cos I wanted to know What Happened Next - now only 2 epsiodes left of S6 & I suspect I will crack & watch those fairly soon).
Tonight, I have work do, in the form of FOOD & DRINK on the roof. Except it's bloody freezing, so it will probably be in the basement instead. It's one of these everyone-bring-something affairs - my contribution was hummous, carrot & lentil pate, & salsa (all made by me, except the salsa which Pete made). Dave is currently cooking stew in the kitchen (yes, my office has a kitchen), & I've already tasted Neale's vegan chilli (he was worried about it. But it was very nice, in fact).
(nb: internet now fixed, of course. Or this wouldn't be here.)
