Dunwich Dynamo 1

So, tonight I am cycling from London to Dunwich (120mi = my entire weekly commute in a row, twice). Blogging it appears to be the thing to do. Altho sadly will be repeated posts as I can't edit from this.
Mile 0: Hackney. Many many cyclists. Set off in vast pack, very slowly, passing small child saying to every rider '"You're going to the seaside". He's having to talk quite fast.
Miles 8-12: In the country now. Cycle path crap (will elaborate on my return[0]). Occasional knee twinges; am ignoring them.
Mile 12: stop at service station. Acquire Hobnobs (stupidly forgot own home-made chocolate/oat stuff). Av so far 12.1mph.
ETA:[0] It's barely 3' wide, which is about the distance I normally cycle from the kerb, so every time I stop thinking about it I end up cycling on top of the line, which has bumps in where the light-reflective things are. The cycle lane itself, on the other hand, has bumps in where the light-reflective things *used* to be; they've been moved (to allow for the cycle lane) & inexpertly filled in. Very disconcerting. I should really have just cycled outside of the lane, I think, but I was worried about traffic.
