juliet: White flags against a blue sky, at the Glade Festival (glade flags)
[personal profile] juliet
It is sunny; and the days are getting longer; and it is starting to feel like spring even if it is only February (things are budding, as well). Obviously this is almost certainly a Bad Sign, environmentally speaking, but it is making me cheerful today. Even if a somewhat stiff headwind did nearly blow me to a standstill on Westminster Bridge this morning.

I have been v lazy indeed today; but I think I have just solved one work-related problem, so not a total loss. Sadly not going to be able to make Zen Meditation tonight (because the timing, & my having been in work late this morning, prohibits dinner beforehand, and my stomach will prohibit waiting till after 9pm for dinner), but on the upside this gives me an unexpectedly free evening tonight for general quiet pottering, & I have been rather in need of such of late.

Other cheering thing: my eyebrow has not fallen off as yet, and the general reaction to the piercing seems to be "goodness, that is new, isn't it, I thought you must have had it for ages" which I am taking to imply that it looks like it should be there. (also it is blue! I like blue.)

Is it festival season yet? (ans: possibly not quite but there is a Little Green Planet party on Saturday which I am greatly looking forward to even if it is indoors)

How are all of your Mondays progressing?

My Monday is progressing well. It started off quite groggy but being Productive at lunchtime has ensured a better mood this afternoon.

My day would be even better if haus websites were kept up-to-date so I wouldn't get all excited then ring up to find nice haus already let. :-/

I'm having that at the moment with rent (So, I remember you said you were interested in places with a max cost of X... how about this nice place going for X+10%?)

Going slowly, but this is entirely self inflicted from staying up too late reading Chalet School books and hence been knackered. Have urge for chocolate but lent is saving me from it.

I have learned how to do a lot today, but not why anyone would want to do any of this in the 21st century. Stupid bloody AS/400s and their pre-COBOL language.

But things are generally well!

Yes, it really does look as if it's supposed to be there :-)

Eyebrow not falling off is generally a good thing!

Spotted open daffodils in next door's garden and next-door-to-work's car park on Monday.

Odd? Just a sign of oncoming spring.

could have fooled me. maybe a small increase in temperature (which is what has happened in reality rather than what has been ludicrously projected for the future by some) has its winners and its losers. on balance we're doing ok.

It is spring, isn't it? Camden was full of flowers as I went through on the bus earlier, and the morning chorus called time for bed after Popstarz at the weekend. Welcome to the eyebrow piercing club - mine came out ages ago, but I've always had a wistful feeling and a tiny scar to show for it.
