julietI appear to have done something unpleasant to my eye. It hurt a bit when I got home from Saturday's bike ride around Kent, & I assumed I'd got a bit of sand or something in there & it would sort itself out. No better yesterday morning. Bit worse by the end of the day. Definitely worse on waking up this morning. Ow.
So: have to take myself down to the GP in an hour ("it's an emergency appointment, dear, so just to warn you that you may have to wait" - must take nice thick book). Ow.
*Also* managed to lose my glasses on Saturday (I was wearing contacts at the time, so my glasses case must have escaped somewhere). So optician this afternoon as well; which at least means there's a second chance to locate whateveritis that's causing the problem if the GP can't help.
I am Sulking. Also rapidly acquiring a headache.
Other than that: have had a very nice weekend, featuring 140k bike ride round bits of Kent; BEACH & dinner in Rye; and visit to parental abode for a very nice lunch yesterday (& also the watching of lots of cyclists go up some large hills very fast).

I go straight to casualty if eyebath and/or mirror and damp tissue can't sort out anything suspicious regarding the eyes. It's just not worth the risk. Last time was a bank holiday and it took 4hours and two doctors to fish it out.
