Anyone up for a visit to Oxford for Panic on Wed 21st May? I may even get to DJ if I ask the new committee nicely enough, which would be fun (see here for [livejournal.com profile] beingjdc's & my last set, which rocked enormously). It's only an hr & a half by coach from London, y'know. I shall go up, anyway (unless the unexpected happens & the Report Stage of the Hunting Bill gets announced for then - this is v unlikely), & would welcome company.

I have stuff to do, & should get on & do it. Trade-union-hat stuff, as well, which always makes me nervouser than normal work stuff. Bah.

How come re TU stuff making you more nervous than normal work stuff? Just curious - cos logically, doing TU stuff badly couldn't get you into anywhere near as much trouble as doing work stuff badly......

Oh, OK, I understand. Though, I'd imagine it's also much more fun and exciting, as well as being a bit scary, simply because it's so different to the other things you do. Look on lack of experience as a positive thing - you haven't got a preset idea of what you want to achieve/how you're going to approach it, so you're much more adaptable/creative/imaginative than someone with years of experience.
