101 things update

004. Make up a proper pattern from scratch, and make the garment from it - still slowly cutting out fabric.
014. Eat lunch without "empty" carbs (potato, bread, pasta, rice) every weekday for amonth week. - have decided that a week is long enough to experiment with this. I shall do it week after next.
020. Set up a proper container garden on the balcony. - just planted a bunch more stuff. I'll count this as finished in a couple of months, I think, assuming things keep progressing.
021. Try a new recipe every week for 3 months -2 months down.
027. Keep track of my reading for 3 months. - 2 months down.
029. Read Ulysses - still going, as it has been for months.
030. Get 10 book recommendations from friends, read them, & review them. - 3 read & blogged, 7 not started.
035. Watch the rest of Babylon 5. - put it on my lovefilm list.
042. Learn enough Mandarin to get by in October. - still listening to podcasts most mornings, but it's difficult to hear when I'm cooking. I could really do with one of those cheapy 128MB MP3 players - anyone have one kicking around?
045. Redo upstairs bathroom - flooring people booked, nice chap came in to do skirting boards. Other thing to sort out is shower screen.
050. Make a will - am finally & very slowly doing stuff about this.
055. Go cycling for a weekend at random (i.e. don't plan where I'm going beyond a start point, just take a map with & find somewhere to sleep when I'm tired) - doop & I are doing this in April.
061. Do my back exercises daily for a month - yes well.
071. Catch up with someone I've not seen in a while for dinner/lunch monthly for 6 mths - had dinner with
dr_d this month which I am sure counts even though I didn't think of it till now!
074. Learn to beatmatch - have not done much on this this month.
078. Go snowboarding - have just realised that (since I'm away next winter) this isn't going to happen unless I count going to Milton Keynes snowdome. Which I might decide to do. Is that cheating?
081. Fill the remaining pages of the poetry-book Marna gave me with poems I like. - right, am going to start reading poetry again to this end.
088. Go to one of the S Ken museums for lunch (to look, not to eat lunch!) once weekly for a month - FAIL. Start again.
097. Go to Australia - started in on guidebook & making notes.
