Letters & music
Sep. 7th, 2008 12:30 pmI am doing sorting-out type things for my increasingly imminent departure, so:
Firstly: I am intending to take lots of airmail paper with me in order to write people letters while I'm on the many, many trains I will be on (I just checked, & it's something like 20 days in 52 that I'll be spending on a train. Plus a day or so on buses.). If you would like me to write to you, stick yr address in the poll below. (NB letters not guaranteed, depends on timing & so forth.)
[Poll #1255115]
Secondly: poste restante, whereby you can pick up mail from random post offices, still exists & is clearly awesome. I will be checking various post offices (addresses & date I'll be there are below the cut), so if anyone fancies writing a letter to *me*, that would be lovely. Letters will probably take 1-2 weeks via airmail, with luck; put a return address on & a date-to-keep-until (about a week after I'm expected there would be ideal) in case they get delayed & I don't pick them up. Print my name clearly, and underline the surname (makes collection much easier...).
Beijing (8th October):
c/o Poste restante
Beijing International Post Office
Dongcheng District
Beijing, China
Hanoi (15th October):
c/o Poste restante
Hanoi International Post Office
Hanoi
Vietnam
Phnom Penh (24th October):
c/o Poste Restante
GPO Phnom Penh
Cambodia
Bangkok (28th October):
c/o Poste Restante
General Post Office
Bangkok 10501
Thailand
Singapore (2nd November):
c/o Poste Restante
GPO

Adelaide (11th November, then again 6th December):
c/o Poste Restante
Adelaide 5001
Australia
(If anyone wants to write to me in Melbourne, where I'll be intermittently between November & Christmas, ask Pete or doop for the address - it's my cousin's house so I don't want to put it up publicly. Once in Sydney I'll have a proper address again.)
And lastly, if anyone has a USB key kicking around that they don't use any more & fancies donating to me, that would be v much appreciated. If they wanted to put a handful of MP3s on it first, that would be even better. Mmm tasty musics.
