Had a very nice evening yesterday all by myself. Well, had rehearsal first (playing at friend's wedding on Saturday week) which was a bit shocking & I *really* need to practise. But after that: cooked dinner, washed up lots (dull but necessary, & kind of satisfying to get stuff cleared), had a bath with tea & book (& the bath in the new house is nice & deep), played with the rats for a bit. Went to bed early, which was possibly the most important point.

The IMSoc lot have asked everyone who DJed on Wednesday to provide a setlist (they've been wanting sample setlists for the website). Unfortunately I can't remember everything I played. Can anyone who was there assist?

(in no particular order)
Helen Love "Punkboy"
Kenickie "Punka"
Pixies "Here Comes Your Man"
Hives "Untutored Youth"
Jimmy Eat World "The Middle"
Ataris "Teenage Riot"
Only Ones "Another Girl Another Planet"
White Stripes "Hotel Yorba"
The Clash "London Calling"
Bis "Eurodisco"

(that's 10, but as a lot were less than 3min I figure I must have played at least *one* more, possibly 2)

And after losing my trainers on Wednesday (not *quite* as daft as it sounds - I changed into boots & left the trainers somewhere. They were however knackered & I'd been meaning to buy a new pair anyway), I have now discovered that all my elderly spare pairs of trainers suck. Have had to have recourse to a pair of black Gazelles that I haven't worn in about 4 years & am hence feeling terribly old-skool.

Damn, you remembered the only two I could recall - that being Helen Love (because I played it too) and Jimmy Eat World (because you asked me which song the good one was). Wasn't there something else that was punky/rockish? I might be thinking of the Ataris though.

That was a really good set, by the sounds of it. I am so inspired I have made a new icon.
