Grumble grumble, it is overcast & keeps raining, & I was going to go down the beach & go surfing this morning but now that seems lik a bad plan.

Maybe it'll clear up by the afternoon. High tide is midday-ish, so it had to be either first thing or later on that I headed down there. Also I suppose it means I can get the work I need to do done first, but still. Grumble!

Have you seen any sharks? I heard there have been a few attacks in Sydney in the last few days.

Also it sits on the ground and is ice. In not unrelated news I have some new bruises.

Any cross between me and Preach would be alarming.

Hello hello!

Just peeked back at some entries, and I so feel your pain with the roaches. They were such a big shock to the system coming from england.

I've not found any great remedies I'm afraid. Bug bombimg every now and again keeps them down, and the expensive big black can of spray is really good at stopping them in thier tracks, but the little blighters keep coming back.

Freelancing sounds awesome. If you want to find contract work, greythorn was the agency I used here and I found them to be really good at finding me work. Some of that may be due to the agent I had, HJ, and she's moved on. She's apparently now at peoplebank, if you contact her, tell her I said hi. :) (hyo.shim@peoplebank.com.au).

I've also been surprised at the amount of rain in australia! The first week I got here it rained almost constantly and there was flooding!

Mardi gras should be fun, although I'm not sure what I'm up to, as my plans have somewhat fallen through. I'm sure something will work out though!

Your epic journey to get here sounds awesome, and I look forward to hearing more about it. :)
