Throwing photos away

This is my current job: clearing the photo archives. Now, I don't like throwing things away, and every packet of photos going into the bin causes me serious pangs of mental trauma. What if in however-many months' time, that packet of photos turns out to be exactly what is needed for something? I counteract this by reminding myself that most of what I'm chucking is unlabelled, and therefore little or no use at all since they're also all 10 years or more old and thus there's no staff left that would be able to identify them. Not to mention the fact that there is a limit to how many photos of a standard, bad-behaviour-free meet of the Whoever Foxhounds one needs; especially when said photos have lain undisturbed since 1991.

But it still worries me. Not enough, though, to want to find somewhere to put them all; so in the bin it is for the majority of the pile. I'm probably saving more than I ought, come to that.
