julietHaving a slightly irritable day, possibly due to the fact that I'm off Oxford-wards this evening (& having a whole day off tomorrow!) & thus am feeling in a sociable mood & not in a work-mood. Have done some Useful Things, though, of a dull & repetitive nature, so it could be worse.

nou & marnameow & others. Several of whom I'd met previously at Kake's party but didn't remember properly due to being a bit pissed at the time, whoops. Anyway, the Jerusalem Tavern was as ever ace, & there was much beer & talking & so forth. Hurrah. Sadly I missed out on the post-pub food, as I had to meet Pete at the TCR Odeon to see Adaptation. Which was good up till halfway through, but then suddenly tipped over into being stupid (I have nothing against silliness in films, but it has to be the right sort of silliness, & this wasn't), and I stopped caring altogether about any of the characters. Which is generally not a good response to a film. Still, it was worth seeing, even if I did wind up deprived of my dinner, sniff (popcorn & toast just doesn't count).
