Bloody machines
Jul. 9th, 2003 09:30 pmRight. So, not only did the Palm restore go Horribly Wrong, leading to loss of all data save my keyring stuff (so, um, if I had your address, I don't any more. Email it me if you think I should have it. Thankfully the mobile hasn't lost people's phone numbers - YET). But having finally gotten around to trying to sort my laptop out to do wireless magic, the memory's fucked & it won't boot.
I am *not* going to start hitting things. I am going to have a nice bath & sulk.
Anyone out there know anything about Thinkpad memory? I've had a brief prod at the inside, & everything useful appears to be hidden underneath the battery with big DO NOT MOVE notices all over it.
<sigh>
It's not like I really *need* a laptop anyway, I suppose. We do have Pete's work laptop for use in the garden, even if it *is* Windows.
This is not a good day for me & technology, clearly.
