I have nothing to say, other than the fact that I am writing this whilst lying on the decking in the garden, thanks to the MAGIC of WIRELESS. Hurrah. (though it will be better once we have a new battery for this machine as this one is crap & runs out within minutes. Still, we also have a power outlet on the corner of the outside of the house, so all is well)
It's rather nice out here.

Date: 2003-05-07 12:21 pm (UTC)Only recently got my laptop back (with new batteries too, 7-8 hours freedom) and have been thoroughly enjoying all the Backnet-linked wireless access that's been building up around town while I've been without :-)

Date: 2003-05-07 02:42 pm (UTC)Mind you, I *say* this, but the laptop that's actually mine (rather than the laptop that's Pete's work's, which is currently in use) is aged & not at all shiny.
(I do not need a new laptop. I cannot afford a new laptop. *wanders off muttering*)

Date: 2003-05-07 02:47 pm (UTC)*Actually* what we need to do is to talk to the wireless pixies. Because clearly wireless is in fact magic, much like photocopiers.
(oh dear, I can feel the photocopier conspiracy theory creeping up on me again...)

Date: 2003-05-07 04:40 pm (UTC)Now I'm wondering how much of the distance between our place and your place has no wireless. I'm not going to wander Bermondsey at 1am clutching my laptop to find out, though.
Ooh! Chalet School Books! Ooh!

Date: 2003-05-08 12:00 am (UTC)Perhaps we should make up a large *daytime* posse & wander round Bermondsey with laptops? Actually, even that sounds a bit dubious...
