My head hurts a little bit. It's all my own fault, of course, but the beer is *nice* & it calls to me. Still, drinking 2 full pints of water before bed has produced something approximating functionality today, so.

london.pm meet. There were many many lovely people, & I am not even going to *attempt* a namechecking. There was BEER. There was lots of talking & bouncing & stuff. I was supposed to be leaving halfway through to go to another pub (friend going abroad for a couple of months & wanting people to buy him drinks), but that kind of didn't happen (I did phone & apologise, & I *am* going to see him in Boston in a couple of weeks, so, & he said he forgave me, so). I think I was a bit hyper. And the beer didn't help. I apologise to anyone I randomly bounced at or talkedfartoofastat or anything. But it was all FUN, lots. Hurrah.

Then marnameow & I scared everyone on the tube on the way home :-) & then she & sbp & Simon C came back to ours for beer & rat-meeting (& Simon fell entirely for Luthien which is hardly surprising as she is gorgeous-rat). I believe bed happened around 2. It's all a bit blurred, frankly. But I did get into work on time, & a scalding hot shower & having breakfast out in the garden (for the fresh air. There were also visiting kittens - the black&white one & the tabby) & the half hour walk in all helped to make me feel *better* though maybe not *good*.

However! I have just found Paracetamol in my desk drawer, so that is good. AND I have just been talking to Rebecca about a set of addresses that need to be munged into a different form & clearly the way forward is perl. So I get to do a little geekery, even if it will only be very baby easy perl, which makes me very happy indeed because I haven't done any for AGES & was bitching at length about it only last night (sorry kitty_goth, I got a bit aerated about it as I recall).
