Neck aches. Back aches. WHINGE. I have attempted to phone 2 separate osteopaths, but got answerphone from both, which is rather an arse. On the upside, I have discovered that the British School of Osteopathy charges a mere £19 for the first appointment & £16 thereafter (which compares rather favourably with the £45 I paid to the last osteopath) *&* is just down the road from work. So hopefully they will ring me back & agree to fix me forthwith.

(whoops, just got phonecall from other osteopath, who charges double that & had to say "no, sorry, you are too expensive now I have found cheaper option". Hate doing that sort of thing.)

I appear to have done a reasonable amount of work today; but I've been feeling useless all day. Sorely tempted to skive off to the pub early at this point (prior to NICE FOOD the thought of which does cheer me up). I shall do one more thing then go.

Backaches are incredibly horrible. Any idea if any particular activity might be causing it? I'm about 75% sure that cycling with a backpack caused trouble for mine, a FOAF suggested that adjusting the bike might help but I've not tried that yet.

It's always a bit dodgy, & I tend to have to go get things fixed every few months anyway. This particular go-around was triggered by moving house, then spending 2 weeks carrying a cycle pannier when walking into work (they are designed for cycles, not for people. I have now switched to my rucksack, even if it *is* too big), & then a particularly nasty bout of envelope-stuffing. But have appt this afternoon so will be OK again soon.

Last time I had trouble seemed to be triggered by painting the bedroom - I was reaching up to the ceiling for an extended period...
